Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Michigan, Jireh De Jose has always been a fashion and beauty enthusiast. As a toddler, she would play dress up at her little plastic vanity while applying her mother’s concealer stick on her lips (thinking that it’s lipstick) and over-accessorizing with beaded necklaces. As a teenager, you’d find her flipping through magazines and analyzing every outfit in detail while attempting (most times failing) at different hair and makeup tutorials printed on those pages. Today, she creates tutorials and still very much likes to get dressed up, and thankfully, she knows how to properly apply concealer now, too.
In 2010, Jireh moved to the Philippines where she studied Fashion Design and Marketing at SoFa Design Institute in Makati. During college, she had the opportunity to showcase original designs and ultimately her first ever haute couture collection for the runway.
After moving back to the U.S. in 2013, Jireh started a blog called fashion meets God– the original The Radiant Look (more here). She shared on personal style, wardrobe hacks and DIYs, shopping on a budget (especially what she scored at the local thrift stores), and makeup product reviews. Jireh also opened up about her walk with God and matters of the heart. Oftentimes, she shared life lessons and what God was teaching her during the good (and not-so-good) moments in life to encourage others who may be facing the same trials.
Jireh’s interest in fashion journalism continued to grow and evolve as she became a contributor and social media coordinator for CollegeFashionista. She was also a writer for the fashion publication Detroit Fashion News where she attended and reported on various fashion events in the Metro Detroit area. In 2014, she continued her designer journey, producing a 15-piece collection and her second haute couture line for Michigan Fashion Week.
Becoming a public speaker and a host was never part of the plan, but opportunities led her to embark and hone on these skills. Jireh has shared her love for God, fashion, and beauty at various universities and churches in Michigan and California. She has hosted multiple events such as Faith & Fashion Week as well as other ministry-related occasions in the Philippines.
In the summer of 2020, she co-founded Image Ignited alongside her spiritual mentor and friend where they broadcast online conversations about fashion, makeup, self-care, and ultimately sharing the Gospel to its listeners.
Above anything else, Jireh desires nothing more out of this life than to live it for Christ and share Him with others. Outside of work and creating content, she spends much of her time in ministry. All by God’s grace, she leads two small groups and also serves as the social media coordinator for Christ’s Commission Fellowship’s (CCF) women’s ministry, Women 2 Women. Her love for travel and evangelism collides having traveled across the world for multiple mission trips in Thailand, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and L.A. with the aim to reach as many people as possible for Jesus.
It’s Jireh’s goal to continue this God-given calling and mission for however long He so desires both faithfully and obediently.
